Gustavo Segura, Minister of Tourism, assured last Thursday that the country has taken bold steps in an effort to shore up the tourism sector.  With a view towards reactivation of the travel and tourism sector, the Government will lift the mandatory proof of negative Covid-19 testing as of October 26.

Segura further stated that “starting November 1, Costa Rica will reopen to anyone with the sole restriction being the purchase of Government mandated travel medical insurance (from approved insurers) and filling out a declaratory form of the Health Ministry at the airport.
