Although the State of Rio do Janeiro continues to be the epicenter of COVID-19 in Brazil with almost 73,000 infected people and 6,928 deaths, as of June 8, governor Wilson Witzel has begun a process of flexibility that will allow malls, bars, restaurants, retail stores, churches, tourist attractions, construction sites and sports facilities to resume their activities with time and capacity restrictions. The governor reported that he plans to continue taking this type of measures every week.
