Even though Brazil registers 1,368,195 cases and 58,314 deaths from coronavirus but following the example of countries like Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom; The government announced the resumption of activities of the local soccer league and it has already begun to confirm the dates of the next matches to be played.

In reaction to this, two of the most important clubs, Botafogo and Fluminense, have communicated their disagreement, stating that soccer stadiums are being used as field hospitals and that the coronavirus has even affected professional players.

For the moment, it has been announced that to comply with basic sanitary measures and social distancing, access will be limited to one-third of the capacity of the stadiums and then try to lift the restrictions if conditions are appropriate.
