Chile’ is the country that has closed its borders longer than any other nation in LATAM due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. On November 5, the country announced that it is organizing re-opening protocols for all foreign visitors.
According to Under-Secretary of the Public Health Ministry, Paula Daza, the first stage of controlled re-opening will commence by the end of November. During this phase, the Arturo Merino Benítez Airport of Santiago will be only international point of entry to Chile’.
Travelers will be asked to comply with the following protocols: 1) Submit a sworn statement about their point of origin/residency, 2) Destination in Chile’ and 3) Health status 4) A negative PCR test that has been performed 72-hours prior to the departure to Chile’. 5) If necessary, travelers will enter quarantine.
