Colombia Returns to Pre-Pandemic Tourism Levels

Jun 15. One of the most important tasks that the Government had to work on after the pandemic was in the recovery of air connectivity, a decisive aspect to lift the travel industry, after a severe impact, and also to stimulate foreign investment.

According to the Civil Aeronautics, between January and April 2022, 4.3 million passengers were mobilized on international flights, which the union calculates as a reactivation of 92%, when compared to the same period in 2019, when 4, 7 million.

In the case of April, there was a growth of 5%, derived from the 1.19 million passengers who traveled on international flights, compared to the 1.13 million reported in that month of 2019.
