March 4. The Colombian low-cost carrier Viva Air will become part of the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) expansion of its TSA PreCheck. Viva Air currently serves Orlando International Airport and Miami International Airport.

TSA PreCheck is an expedited screening program and now is adding the Medellín-based, low-cost airline Viva Air.  This program provides expedited security screening benefits for flights departing from US Airports. It’s one of many initiatives launched by the US government on this topic.

TSA PreCheck enables low-risk travelers to enjoy an efficient screening at more than 200 US airports. For example, enrolling in the program allows passengers to avoid removing shoes, belts, liquids, laptops, and light jackets.
