The Minister of Health of Costa Rica, Daniel Salas, reported that on Monday, July 6, 254 new cases were reported, reaching a total of 5,241 cases. Currently 88 patients are hospitalized, of which 9 are in Intensive Care Unit. And, when a 92-year-old woman died yesterday, the number of deceased reached 23.
At the same press conference, the Minister of Public Security, Michael Soto, was present. He reported that 1,300 calls were received during the week-end to report social gatherings with music and alcoholic beverages in some cases. Added to 3,302 calls to report the violation of sanitary measures, in several cases occurred in shops.
