Delta is the first carrier to report its second-quarter financial results and it is worst than expected. Compared to the same quarter last year, the airline flew 93% fewer passengers and revenue fell 91%. The company’s CEO, Ed Bastian, said “it could be two years or more before we see a sustainable recovery.” As a result, Delta will reduce the number of additional daily departures from 1.000 to 500.
