Delta Increases Measures to Prevent the Spread of the COVID-19

The airline announced a series of measures to enhance its COVID-19 safety protocols. So far, the airline had three to five employees to disinfect each plane between flights, but now that number has been increased to eight. The carrier also committed to blocking middle seats until 2021. “Medical experts… agree – more distance onboard makes a difference,” Bill Lentsch, the chief customer experience officer, said in a statement. “We believe that taking care of our customers and employees and restoring confidence in the safety of air travel is more important right now than filling up every seat on a plane. We’ll continue taking a thoughtful, layered approach ensuring customers know to expect the highest standard of care as they prepare for their holiday travels.”
