Florida: Number of COVID-19 Infections Continue to Increase

On July 1, Florida reported 6,563 new infections, even though this is the eighth day in a row that over 5,000 new cases were counted, it represents a decrease in comparison to Saturday when 9,585 new cases were registered. When phase two reopening started on June 5, there were 61,488 infected in the entire state, now that number has been more than doubled as there are 158,997 cases statewide. The most affected cities are Miami with 22,647 cases; Orlando with 9,081; Tampa with 7,290; Jacksonville with 5,781; and Hialeah with 5,305.
