Frontier Airlines has added another two routes to the Mexican Caribbean, Caribbean Journal has learned.
It’s the latest addition to what has been the fastest-growing airport in the region since the onset of the pandemic: Cancun International Airport.
The ultra-low-cost carrier this week launched flights from both William P. Hobby and George Bush Intercontinental Airport to Cancun.
“We are excited to launch a new international service to Cancun from both major Houston airports,” said Frontier Airlines Representative Stephen Shaw. “With this new service, we now fly to three destinations from HOU, including Orlando and Las Vegas, and six from IAH as we continue to grow our presence from the greater Houston area.”
The Hobby-Cancun service operates three times a week; George Bush-Cancun flights operate four times each week.
Both routes are operating nonstop, part of Frontier’s rapid expansion in the wider Caribbean.
