May 05. It’s been one of the fastest-growing airlines in the Caribbean amid the pandemic, and now low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines is set to launch another expansion to the region.
In June and July, Frontier will kick off new nonstop service to the Caribbean out of Tampa, with routes to Montego Bay, Jamaica; Punta Cana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Daily Tampa-San Juan service will launch on June 23, followed by twice-weekly Tampa Bay-Montego Bay, Jamaica service on June 24.
On June 30, Frontier will start twice-weekly flights between Tampa and Santo Domingo, followed by once-weekly Saturday service between Tampa and Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic’s most popular destination.
The news comes after Frontier’s already-announced launch of flights between Tampa and Cancun on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.
