The central government, together with community businesses and foundations, inaugurated three new COVID-19 triage centers in the Bay Islands. These centers are located at Coxen Hole, Oak Ridge and Sandy Bay on the island of Roatan. The country has been experiencing further increases in the coronavirus cases and these three new centers are meant to strengthen the country in the face of the pandemic and to better serve the entire population.
There is also an effort underway on the part of the country to serve the population in their own homes to avoid hospital encounters for suspected infections. Hospitals and triage centers have been given more resources to serve as many people as possible in the face of the pandemic and to ensure greater safety for tourists in the coming weeks.
