The regime of Nicolás Maduro announced the reopening of Venezuela’s flight routes with Russia and Bolivia, which had been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The two countries will join the list of other destinations to which the country has already opened up: Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Iran, Turkey and Panama. Authorities have not yet disclosed which carriers will operate the flights nor has it released information on the flight schedules.
Most of these countries, especially Iran and Russia, are close allies of Maduro’s dictatorship, maintaining important military and commercial ties with Venezuela.
