Radical Decrease In The Availability Of Hospital Beds In South Florida.

According to the information published by the state Agency for Health Care Administration, 70% of hospital beds were occupied by June 14.

Since June 1, the availability of ICU beds has decreased dramatically. Here are a few examples:

-Broward Health Medical Center: 28% by June 1, 15% by June 14.
-Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines: 10% by June 1, 5% by June 14.
-Boca Raton Regional Hospital: 49% by June 1, 32% by June 14.
-Delray Medical Center: 42% by June 1, 30% by June 14.
-Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center: 18% by June 1, 7% by June 14.
-Wellington Regional Medical Center: 29% by June 1, 4% by June 14.

These numbers include hospitalizations not related to COVID-19.

It has been 3 days since the state of Florida started to report over 2,000 new cases per day, it is just a matter of time for those cases to translate into hospitalizations.
