Thailand is one of the most visited countries in the world. Just in 2019, the Asian nation received over 39 million visitors, who contributed approximately US$62 billion to the country’s economy. Now, tour guides, hotels and resorts, restaurants, street vendors, and several other industries are suffering from the impact of the global pandemic crisis. As of July 1, Thailand has allowed international students, international workers, medical tourists, and people married to Thais, to enter the country requiring a two-week quarantine. Although a maximum of 200 people per day is allowed to enter the country nowadays, the plan is to start welcoming tourists requiring a minimum stay of 30 days.
