The Transport Minister Mario Meoni reported that, as of October, internal flights could resume for Argentines or people who live in-country, carry out tasks as essential workers, or are declared as excluded by health regulations, according to the protocols that the government is expected to outline this week.
The ultimate decision to receive flights will be made by each province. with local governors having the final say on the place of origin of the flights that will be accepted and those who will not be able to enter.
Concerning international flights, General Secretary of the Argentine Air Navigation Association, Juan Pablo Brey, stressed that last Thursday “the first American Airlines flight left from Argentina to Miami after six months of inactivity.” The opening of international flights would be the next step.
