November 12. Swiss airline Edelweiss Air is set to make its debut in Colombia this year with two weekly flights. Operations will commence on November 22nd and continue until May 2024, initially as a seasonal service connecting Zurich with Bogotá and Cartagena.
Edelweiss Air will use an Airbus A340-300 with a capacity for 314 passengers for the route between the European country and Colombia. The direct flights, running twice a week, mark an exciting development for Edelweiss, aiming to boost tourism between Switzerland and Colombia, stated officials from the European airline.
