Argentina

    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? Argentina has restricted entry to most foreign travelers, except for citizens, residents until 02-28-2021, they must present insurance against covid-19, a sworn statement from the National Directorate of Migration (DNM) and a negative PCR test with a maximum of 72 hours before the trip.
      The capital city requests another sworn statement and a negative PCR for entry.

    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? No, Belize opened the tourist flights.
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? Yes, it must be a negative result in a test 72 hours before the trip.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? Yes, for 14 days.
    • Is there any additional requirement? Yes, you must download a government application 72 hours before making the trip and register where you will be given a unique ID number and will be tracked by the app.

    • Active COVID-19 cases:  425 (Feb 8th 2021)
    • Curfew: Yes, 21.00hrs – 05.00 hrs
    • Restaurants: Open. Although, the government encourages visitors to stay at the resorts as most resorts have their own restaurants. They will begin the reopening in the tourist area at half its capacity.
    • Domestic transportation: All passengers must wear a mask.




Bolivia

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? You can enter if your country already has open borders, it already has flights from the USA and Spain.
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? Yes, a negative COVID-19 PCR test result must be submitted and it must be issued within 7 days prior to arrival.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? Only if you have not done the COVID PCR test.
    • Is there any additional requirement? No.
  • Country Information
    • Active COVID-19 cases: 49,131 (Feb 09th)
    • Curfew: No.
    • Restaurants: Only Santa Cruz, the city with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Bolivia, has authorized the reopening of restaurants with reduced capacity to comply with social distancing guidelines. Already the restaurants of Cochabamba are from Monday to Friday until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturdays until 1:00 p.m. Sundays there is no attention.
    • Domestic transportation: City transportation services are working normally.




Brazil

    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? No. The borders were opened, tourists must have medical insurance throughout their stay in the country. A negative PCR test is requested as of December 30th.

    • Is there any additional requirement? Yes, to have medical travel insurance that covers COVID-19 symptoms.

    • Restaurants: The restaurants are already open, with a moderate occupancy and with hours that may be different depending on the city.

Canada

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? Yes, only citizens and residents returning to the country are allowed to enter.
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? No.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? Yes, for 14 days.
    • Is there any additional requirement? No.
  • Country Information
    • Active COVID-19 cases:  37,640 (Feb 12th)
    • Curfew: No. Only some Native American communities declared curfews.
    • Restaurants: Open at 50% of their capacity to comply with social distancing guidelines. Also, it is not confirmed yet, but restaurants might ask for the customers’ ID and contact information. This is to be able to contact the customers in case of an outbreak.
    • Domestic transportation: City transportation services are working normally.




Chile

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? Yes, Chile has reopened the airport and non-resident can enter Chile through the Santiago airport. Travelers must carry a medical certificate proving a negative PCR, as well as a health passport and proof of health insurance policy.
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? No.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? Yes, for 14 days.

  • Country Information
    • Active COVID-19 cases: 21,418 (Feb 10th)
    • Curfew: Yes. From November 5, the curfew hours are between 00:00 and 05:00. Magallanes (Porvenir, Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas), the curfew hours are 20:00 and 5:00, and Puerto Montt as well.
    • Restaurants: Los Ríos, Aysén and La Araucanía operate up to 25% of their capacity.
    • Domestic transportation: City transportation services are working with reduced capacity to comply with social distancing guidelines. People need authorization from the government to circulate freely.




Colombia

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? Yes, from September 21st 2020 international air transport is enabled for the airports of Group 1: Rafael Núñez de Cartagena, José María Córdova de Rionegro, Alfonso Bonilla Aragón de Palmira and El Dorado de Bogotá. On September 19 they will receive flights in Cartagena. Only flights with countries with immediate connectivity: USA, Mexico, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, Dominican Republic.
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? No.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? No.
    • Is there any additional requirement? No.
  • Country Information
    • Active COVID-19 cases: 70,944 (Feb 08th)
    • Curfew: Only in some districts. Curfew in Bogota is every day from 8 pm to 5 am, in Valle del Cauca every day from 10 pm to 5 am, and in Cali from 9 pm to 5 am.
    • Restaurants: Partially Open.
    • Domestic transportation: City transportation services are working normally in the districts with the lowest number of cases, those districts are Arauca, Casanare, Vichada, Guainía, Meta, Vaupés, Huila, Quindío, Tolima, Risaralda, and Boyacá.




Costa Rica

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? Yes, the list of countries authorized as points of origin for the entry of people into the national territory are:
      EUROPEAN UNION, SCHENGEN AREA AND THE UNITED KINGDOM
      CANADA: for citizens and residents of Canada and for citizens and residents of the European Union, Schengen area and United Kingdom in transit.
      SOUTH AMERICA: Uruguay.
      ASIA: Japan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, and the People’s Republic of China for citizens and residents of Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, and the People’s Republic of China.
      OCEANIA: for flights from Australia and New Zealand for citizens and residents of Australia and New Zealand.
      UNITED STATES OF AMERICA only residents of the following states:
      • From September 1: Connecticut, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Vermont and Virginia.
      • Starting September 15: Arizona, Colorado, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wyoming.
      • As of October 1: California (if epidemiological scenario allows)
  • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? Yes, RT-PCR test must be taken within 72 hours before departure.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? No.
    • Is there any additional requirement? Yes. To complete the digital epidemiological form called “Pase de Salud”. And buy an insurance policy from the Instituto Nacional del Seguro in Costa Rica to cover medical expenses including COVID-19 symptoms. Although the latter is being reviewed.
      Travel medical insurance – international * or purchased in Costa Rica.
      Passengers coming from the USA must prove through their driver’s license or state identification (state ID) that they live in one of the authorized states. This requirement excludes minors traveling with their family.
      Local insurance authorized for travelers is offered today by the National Insurance Institute (INS) https://www.grupoins.com/seguroparaviajeros and by the insurance company Sagicor https://www.sagicor.cr/seguro_para_turistas/

      In the case of international insurance, the tourist must request from their insurer a certification issued in English or Spanish, stating at least three conditions:
      – Validity of the effective policy during the visit in Costa Rica.
      – Guarantee coverage for medical expenses in cases of pandemic disease COVID 19 in Costa Rica, for at least US $ 50,000 (fifty thousand dollars of the United States of America).
      – Minimum coverage of US $ 2,000 for extended lodging expenses due to pandemic disease.

    • Restaurants: Open.
    • Domestic transportation: City transportation services are working normally. Tourists planning on renting a car should keep in mind that there is a vehicle circulation restriction.




Dominican Republic

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? No.
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? Yes. It must be taken within days before departure.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? No.
    • Is there any additional requirement? Yes. To fill out a traveler’s Sworn statement upon arrival. The airline will provide the passenger with the form.
  • Country Information
    • Active COVID-19 cases: 51,248 (Feb 11th)
    • Curfew: State of emergency with curfew extended until October 17. In Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, Santiago, San Cristóbal, La Vega, Puerto Plata, Duarte, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, San Juan, La Altagracia, Azua, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, and Maria Trinidad Sánchez, it is from Monday to Friday from 7 pm to 5 am, and Saturdays and Sundays from 5 pm to 5 am. All other provinces it is every day from 8pm to 5am.
    • Restaurants: Partially open.
    • Domestic transportation: City transportation services are working at 60% of their capacity.




Ecuador

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? No.
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? Yes, taken within 5 days before departure. Passengers going to the Galapagos Island will be subjected to a second test upon arrival at their expense.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? Yes. Unless the passenger’s final destination is the Galapagos Island.
    • Is there any additional requirement? Yes. Passengers going to the Galapagos Islands must present a tourist authorization form before arriving in the islands, and proof of their tourist arrangements.
    • Note: Passengers going to continental Ecuador will have to quarantine for 14 days.
  • Country Information
    • Active COVID-19 cases: 23,196 (Feb 08th)
    • Curfew: Only in Azuay, Bolívar, Carchi, Cañar, Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, Esmeraldas, Imbabura, Loja, Morona Santiago, Napo, Orellana, Pastaza, Pichincha, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Sucumbíos, Tungurahua, and Zamora Chinchipe, it is from Monday to Thursday from 9pm to 5am, and from Friday to Sunday from 7pm to 5am.
    • Restaurants: Open. Most districts already authorized the reopening of restaurants with a reduced capacity. Restaurants working hours are subjected to the local curfew.
    • Domestic transportation: City transportation services work from Monday to Thursday from 5 am to 7:30 pm, Fridays from 5 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturdays from 6 am to 5:30 pm.




El Salvador

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country?
      El Salvador reopened the airports on September 19 with improved health protocols (mandatory use of a mask at all times, physical distancing and temperature control). All travelers must prove a negative result for COVID-19 in a PCR test issued within 72 hours prior to departure before the airline staff to board, except those under 2 years old.
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? No.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? Yes.
    • Is there any additional requirement? No.
  • Country Information

Guatemala

    • Is there any additional requirement? Yes, travelers must sign up in Guatemala Health Pass.

Honduras

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? Travelers must present a medical certificate proving a negative result for coronavirus (COVID-19) in a PCR test or rapid test issued within 72 hours prior to arrival.

    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? No.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? Yes, 14 days.
    • Is there any additional requirement? You have to fill out and send a form at https://prechequeo.inm.gob.hn/ before departure.

Mexico

Nicaragua

Paraguay

    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? Paraguay has reopened the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport. Travelers who are not citizens or residents must have international medical insurance that covers the costs of treating COVID-19, must fill out a traveler’s health information form, and submit a negative covid-19 PCR test. All travelers arriving in Paraguay must remain in isolation for 14 days.

    • Curfew: Yes. In Arequipa, Ica, Junín, Huánuco, San Martín, Madre de Dios, and Áncash, it is from Monday to Saturday from 8 pm to 4 am. In all the other departments, it starts at 10 pm.

Uruguay

    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? Yes, only citizens and residents returning to the country are allowed to enter.
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? Yes.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? Yes. You must present a negative certificate issued within 72 hours prior to the trip, and a health declaration.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? Yes, for 7 days. The visitor can then take a second COVID-19 test and quarantine until the result is ready, or they can quarantine for another seven days.
    • Is there any additional requirement? Yes, to have medical travel insurance that covers COVID-19 symptoms.

United States of America

  • Travel Information
    • Is there any restriction on who can enter the country? Yes, the US has restricted the entry of all foreigners who have transited or been in China, Iran, the European Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Brazil in the last 14 days. Although, US citizens and permanent residents who have passed through or have been in any of the above countries in the past 14 days may still enter the United States but must arrive at one of the following airports: Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas, (DFW), Detroit (DTW), Honolulu (HNL), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK or EWR), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Washington (IAD).
    • Is the use of face masks required for travelers? There is no national guideline for the use of face masks. Although it is required in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin. It is also required by most airlines.
    • Is it required to present a negative COVID-19 test result? Yes.
    • Is quarantine required when arriving in the country? Required only for people arriving in the US from abroad. For domestic travel, some states require a 14-days quarantine to visitors arriving from states that are highly affected by COVID-19.
