October 10. The Lufthansa Group wants its money back.
Lufthansa sent a bill for approximately $147,191 to six climate activists who blocked Berlin Airport.
The incident happened in November of 2022 and led to several flight cancelations. And since Lufthansa had to eat the cost of the canceled flights, they now want to be reimbursed.
Lufthansa Group budget carrier Eurowings was part of the affected cancellations.
The activist group is known in Germany as Last Generation.
The Lufthansa Group said it had 10 flights canceled, 21 delays, and one diversion that day in Berlin.
